Arya was born in Delhi on January 18, 2001. His parents, Radha Bala and Pawan Arya, are educators at Delhi's public schools. Priyansh Arya's father enrolled him in the Sanjay Bharadwaj coaching program after noticing his love for the game. There, Priyansh Arya picked his batting skills. He got even better under Gambhir's guidance. His performance impressed Gambhir. He also gave a cricket kit to Priyansh Arya.

In 2021, Priyansh, who represented Delhi in age cricket, made his domestic T20 debut. He made headlines in 2023 when he thrashed Karnataka pacers and Tamil Nadu spinners in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy the following year, he amassed 325 runs at a strike rate of 176.63. His 102 runs in 43 balls made him the talk of the country. Later on, he represented Delhi Under-19.

IPL Career

In the IPL 2025 season's mega auction, teams fought for his services. Ultimately, he was purchased by Punjab Kings for an astounding Rs. 3.8 crores. He performed well in practice matches, therefore the squad offered him an opportunity in the first game. He seized the opportunity with both hands.

He made his IPL debut for Punjab Kings against Gujarat Titans on March 25, 2025. As an opener, he scored 47 runs in 23 balls.

Priyansh Arya reached his century in just 39 balls during this game, which was played at the Maharaja Yadavinder Singh International Stadium in Mullanpur.
