Karn Sharma IPL 2025 Auction price

Karn Sharma

Karn Sharma Born on October 23, 1987, he is an Indian cricket player.  He is an all-around cricket player for the Railways.  He bats left-handed and bowls with leg breaks.  He faced England in his maiden Twenty20 International match in 2014.  He made his One Day International debut for India against Sri Lanka on November 13, 2014. He played his first Test match against Australia in Adelaide on December 9, 2014.

from the little Uttar Pradesh village of Meerut when he took home Rs 3.75 crore from Sunrisers Hyderabad at the 2014 IPL auction.  Following a successful season with Sunrisers in 2013, during which he took 11 wickets at an economy rate of 6.60 in 13 games, he was awarded the largest amount ever paid to a local uncapped player at the auction.  He formed a strong partnership with India's legspinner Amit Mishra, which enabled the Sunrisers to beat expectations and get to the semi-finals of their inaugural campaign.

Despite having played for Railways in the domestic circuit since 2007, he did not really attract attention until the 2012–13 campaign.  He won the BCCI award for Best Under-25 player that season after taking 21 wickets at 19.04 in three Ranji games.  Taking eight wickets in an innings against the defending champions, Rajasthan, was one of the high points of his first-class career.

He took 15 wickets at 25.06 in 2014, replicating his impressive IPL performance. During India A's tour of Australia, he showed a glimmer of his batting ability against South Africa A. Despite the few possibilities, he scored 39 off 16 at No. 9 to lead India A to victory in an exciting chase.  He was called up to India shortly after, where he played in his first T20 international and was part of the limited-overs team traveling to England.  After consistently taking wickets against visiting teams for India A, he was called up for his debut Test match later in the year, for the Australia tour.
